Autism and Music: How Music Can Support Autistic Children and Young People

Join our Autism and Music training to find out more about how music can be used therapeutically to help autistic children and young people's development and wellbeing. No musical experience or skill is required - you'll hear about ideas for activities that anyone can try out.

What will participants learn?

Participants will discover how music can be used to support the development of social, communication and cognition goals, as well as thinking about how music can be used to support emotional and mental health needs in young people on the spectrum.

Participants will learn more about the value of using music as an accessible way of bringing children and young people with different needs together, as well as some practical tips and activities to try yourself. The session will offer plenty of opportunities for questions.

Who is this training for?

Anyone supporting autistic children and young people in any kind of setting who wants to find out more about how music can be able to help them. It is also suitable for parents of autistic children and young people. Students on teaching/healthcare courses are also welcome.

No musical experience or skill is required.
