How to Measure a Smile - Autumn 2023

The content truly expanded on and exceeded the expectations I may have had at first

Overview

The How To Measure A Smile training will give therapists an overview of the different ways we measure outcomes and progress of clients in music therapy, for both individuals and groups. The training covers music therapy scenarios in a variety of settings including schools, neuro-rehab, hospices and dementia care, and community music therapy, and introduces participants to a wider range of outcome measures used in the profession.

What will participants learn?

How to formulate SMART goals

Which outcome measures are appropriate for different settings

How we can use outcomes to facilitate better treatment, assessments, reports, and greater understanding of music therapy in our work settings

Who is this for?

All music therapists, including trainees and newly qualified MTs; it may also be particularly useful for those who are considering training in Neurologic Music Therapy. It is also suitable for Arts in Health practitioners.
