Supporting People Living with Dementia - A Training for Music Therapists
Overview
This practical and reflective 2 hour training is designed for Music Therapists who are new to working with people living with dementia or who want to develop their skills in this area.
What will participants learn?
The training will cover:
• Music therapy and person-centred care
• An overview of music therapy and dementia research
• Collaborating with staff in dementia care settings
• Working with groups and session ideas
• Music therapy with people who have advanced dementia
There’ll be time for reflection, discussion, and sharing ideas with fellow practitioners.

For Music Therapists working with, or interested in working with, people living with dementia in care and community settings.
