A weekly wellbeing singing group for older adults.
Silver Singers is our welcoming community singing group for older adults who enjoy coming together to sing, connect and share music.
These sessions are uplifting, sociable and open to anyone who would like to take part. You don’t need any previous singing experience, just come as you are and join in.
Led by our Community Musician, Eleanor, each week includes a variety of familiar songs and new favourites, with plenty of opportunity to sing together in a relaxed and friendly environment. The focus is on enjoyment, wellbeing and community connection.
What to expect
- Singing together in a supportive group
- A relaxed, welcoming atmosphere
- Opportunities to meet new people
- Tea and coffee at the end of every session
Silver Singers is designed as a wellbeing singing group rather than a therapy group. If you are looking for a smaller, more therapeutic space for someone living with more advanced dementia, you may wish to explore our Safe in Sound music therapy group, which runs nearby in Chesham.
Session Information
Sessions take place weekly on Wednesdays from 1-2pm at the Church of the Good Shepherd, Aylesbury.
There is a cost to attend this group. If funding is a concern, please speak to us, subsidised places may be available and we are always happy to discuss options.
If you would like to join Silver Singers, please call 01442 780541 or send us an enquiry. We would love to welcome you.
