A music therapy group for mental health and wellbeing.
Our Jamming Group offers a welcoming space to explore music-making together in a relaxed and supportive environment.
Group music therapy can play a powerful role in supporting mental health. It encourages self-expression and creativity, strengthens social and communication skills, and helps people feel more connected to their community. Research shows that even listening to meaningful or familiar music activates many areas of the brain, lifting mood, reducing anxiety and creating lasting positive effects.
Led by our Music Therapist, Josh, sessions provide a safe and structured space where participants can express themselves through improvisation, song sharing, listening and reflection. The focus is not on performance or musical ability, but on connection, confidence and wellbeing.
Whether you’re an experienced musician or have never picked up an instrument before, you’re warmly welcome. Instruments are provided, and no musical experience is needed. Participants must be aged 16 or over to join the group.
